Vulpine Summer Fete...

The Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend saw many a royal-themed knees-up happing across the capital - but for me and The Boy, there was only one event to attend... the Vulpine Summer Fete!
Vulpine Clothing founder Nick Hussey (dapper dude in a suit pictured above) organised the event which was held at Balham Bowls Club. It was a wonderful venue - with its eclectic mix of furnishing, floral arrangements and that old wooden panelled Bar, it was a perfect setting for a sunny summer fete...

Around 800 people attended the fete, which not only celebrated the best of British cycling, but brought together many British artisan businesses all under one roof! It was a fantastic pairing of cycling craftsmanship with art - which went down a storm with all who came along...

Nick and the Vulpine team made sure all bases were covered for family friendly fun; London's best-loved cycling café Look Mum No Hands were in attendance, providing their coffee and cakes... and for those in need of something a lot meatier, a Hog Roast was laid on by the Bowls Club!

There was plenty of entertainment going on in the beer garden, with the Rollerpaluza roller-racing rig (I wish I'd had a go!) and live graffiti by artist The Toaster...

Of course, I had to do a spot of shopping while I was there! After having been taken with a rather gorgeous Harris Tweed Musette by Il Soigneur, it had to come with me... and was put into use immediately...

Overall it was a brilliant event - Nick and the rest of the Vulpine team did an amazing job & provided a wicked day for all 800 of us who came along. Did I also mention that the Fete was also raising money for charity? The Vulpine charity auction is still up on eBay, so PLEASE have a look and bid for the chance to pick up some wonderful pieces!

There is word of another Fete being held in December, so keep an eye on the @VulpineCC twitter stream for more information.

Hopefully the Vulpine Team are having a well-earned rest, like this little lady... :)

Many thanks to Ian James for providing all photography in this blog post. His full set from the Fete can be viewed in his Flickr set.
